Careers support for life

Hello, everyone. My name is Royston Joseph. I'm a graduate of 2020 in computer networks. I work for a company called 'Excel Group' as a project deployment engineer. 

MDX had really helped me to get where I am today. There's a great employability team at Middlesex University. They tailor-made my CV as well as my LinkedIn profile. You need to get those documents in order to land that first job. 

The transition from studies to work had been a bit of a roller coaster for me. As the last year was a bit of a tricky one. Because during the height of the pandemic, most of the companies stopped recruiting graduates and trainees. 

Do not stick to only Cisco platform. Try to expose yourself with other multi-vendor devices like Juniper, Ruckus and Aruba. If I can go back in time, I will spend more time in labs because at those labs, the equipment is state of the art, so make good use of those lab sessions and good luck to everyone. 

As you will be graduating soon or have graduated already, we wanted to tell you that we're very proud of everything you have achieved so far. We would love to stay in touch and hear your story as a Middlesex alumni.

 Within 15 months of your graduation, you will be contacted and asked to complete the Graduate Outcome Survey. Responding to this survey will help current and future students make informed decisions about Middlesex University and guide us in evaluating our courses.  

 It will look like this and will only take 10 minutes of your time to fill it out, not long at all to have a lasting impact on the Middlesex community. The survey will allow us to provide lifelong career and employability support to all graduates and showcase the achievements of our alumni community.  

 Elevate the reputation of your degree subject and university as a whole. Support current students with considering their future career options. Assist future students with their course choices, climb university league tables and improve services, events and opportunities for all students and alumni.
