Biography

Iam Senior Lecturer in Accounting at Middlesex University, London. My researchinterest includes social and environmental accounting with the main focus oncarbon accounting and biodiversity. I have published several papers in highlyranked journals such Business Strategy and the Environment, InternationalJournal of Finance & Economics, Technological Forecasting & SocialChange, and Journal of Applied Accounting Research, among others. I have beeninvolved in different research funds such as “SME Financing for Biodiversity:Building Nature Measurement and Impacts into SME Financing (‘SME FinBio’) -with Agri-Food Sector Case Study Example” and “Scoping Study for Survey ofEarly-stage Entrepreneurs”. I have presented my research works in a number ofhighly-rated European and UK conferences including the European AccountingAssociation (EAA), British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA), andManagement Accounting Research Group (MARG). I have been awarded PGCertHEmaking me a fellow of UK Higher Education. I have supervised more than thirtymaster students from MSc. Financial Management, Banking and Finance, andInvestment and Finance in the fields of CSR, Merger&Acquisition, IslamicBaking, corporate governance, and so forth. I have supervised three PhD students to completion, serving as thedirector of study and a second supervisor.
