Research activities

Kasia's research interest are around social inequalities focusing on migration, racism and Islamophobia and gender, particularly in relation to Central and Eastern Europe.


Current Teaching

Kasia teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate Sociology and Criminology programmes.


Biography

Kasia is Senior Lecturer and teaches across Criminology and Sociology programmes in the Law and Social Sciences department. She joined Middlesex University in 2020. Prior to that, she was Lecturer in Sociology and Criminology at the University of Gloucestershire and has previously held research posts at the University of York, University of Cambridge and Södertörn University in Sweden. Kasia's PhD explored conflicts around race, religion and gender in the public sphere in Poland. She works on migration, Central and Eastern Europe, gender, Islamophobia and race/racism.
