How we help your organisation
We will work closely with your organisation to build the bespoke solutions you need from the ground up.
Helping communities and businesses
Whether your organisation is a small or micro business, a third sector support to the community, a company or a multinational firm it will need to develop new skills and new knowledge, make use of specialist equipment and facilities, and form new partnerships to transform what you do. Middlesex is in your corner. You can turn to us for ideas on how to improve productivity, develop new solutions, innovate, create new products or services, enhance your service to the public or adapt to change.
Why we are different
Unlike many other universities we’ve structured ours around a simple idea: that we should put knowledge into action. We want to be your useful ally, and not only as a source of excellent graduates and postgraduates but as a partner in building your organisation’s whole future.
Our academic Faculties regularly engage with the world outside of the lecture hall. Our bioengineers design devices for hospitals, our social scientists work with charity boards and government departments on policy, our design engineers shape delivery for tomorrow, our creative industry academics are a part of the creative industries.
We’re an international university able to source knowledge and knowhow from three different global locations. And we’ve got a formidable network of partners and collaborators to share in finding solutions that will work for your organisation.
How we help you succeed
You’ll need fresh ideas, practical solutions, effective skills – and we can help in all of those areas.
Turn to us for consultancy, contract research, CPD and skills development (from apprenticeships to Masters’ level specialist development), equipment and facilities access, licensing of technology, and the co-development of new IP - and for new ideas.
Professional development for your organisation
Our skills development programmes, credit-bearing and not-for-credit, are build to support your organisation’s journey. We build skills programmes grounded in practice, like our outstanding CPD in healthcare and social work, or our apprenticeship programmes in sales or creative digital design, or our technology skills courses in areas like games and interactive media. You can commission new skills courses, collaborate with us in their development, or ‘pick and mix’ from a variety of topical, relevant short courses.
How we help North London thrive
North London has been our home since 1874, and we’ve served communities and organisations from Brent to Tottenham throughout that time. We’re important to our immediate locality of Hendon, with 3,000 of our alumni living in Barnet. We’ve worked with organisations like NHS trusts, London boroughs and third sector organisations to make life in North London better – whether through assisting in growing cultural outreach, improving healthcare practice or finding practical technical solutions for local engineering businesses.
Our staff serve on the boards of local schools or third sector organisations. We’ve created new companies here, helped inspire young people to participate in science and technology through festivals, celebrated important events with the community around us, and helped our students help local organisations. We’re the region’s key higher education partner, ready to put knowledge into action and put our shoulders to the wheel for the people of our part of London.
