Why choose Professional Risk and Safety Management (Degree Apprenticeship) MSc
This degree apprenticeship has been specifically designed to enable the apprentice to develop the knowledge, skills, professional behaviours and values required by the nationally approved MSc Apprenticeship Standard in Risk and Safety.
As a degree apprentice, they are an employee earning a wage (at least the Apprenticeship Minimum Wage) usually working at least 30 hours per week. They are also a full-time student at Middlesex University with the same access and entitlements to services and support as they undertake their degree.
Once they successfully complete their degree apprenticeship, they will have met the Apprenticeship Standard and be recognised as being fully competent to carry out the role of a risk and safety professional. This programme also includes the opportunity to gain professional status as all apprenticeships in England are required to include professional recognition where available.

The specific requirements for EPA for this apprenticeship is detailed in the nationally approved End-point Assessment Plan.

As well as gaining an in-depth knowledge of the subject, the apprentice will also gain the ability to investigate occupational safety and health in a range of contexts and apply their knowledge of environmental health stressors to solve complex problems in the workplace.
They will be able to interpret data and design novel solutions to occupational safety and health issues, as well as inspections and compliance audits. The apprentice will also gain effective communication skills in occupational safety and health settings and develop research strategies and critical writing skills.

Fees
There is no cost to do a higher or degree apprenticeship for the apprentice/student. They will earn at least the minimum wage for apprentices but many companies pay more than this, particularly for higher and degree apprenticeships.
They could potentially earn upwards of £3001 per week plus the employer and the government is required to pay the tuition fees, meaning the apprentice won't need a tuition fee loan.
