Teaching
You'll be taught by an experienced teaching team with a wide range of expertise and professional experience. You will learn by attending lectures, case study discussions, guided and independent research, workshops, debates, and presentations. Distinctive to the Exec MBA, you will also experience real-world scenarios through simulations and roleplays.
We use a variety of methods to develop your cognitive and practical skills and have different methods to check your understanding of key concepts and knowledge.
Case studies will challenge your thinking in practical contexts, linking theory to real-world practice. Simulation and practice-based activities will give you the opportunity to apply theories to realistic scenarios. Open and directed workshops, along with discussions, will encourage the exchange of ideas and experiences among your cohort. Additionally, directed reading from books, professional journals, and e-learning materials will support your learning throughout the programme.
By working in teams you will gain an understanding of how a real business collaborates and organises itself. You will develop interpersonal skills and understand your abilities as a leader and team member and leader.
You will be studying at our leafy north London campus in Hendon.
Your course timetable will balance your study commitments on campus with time for work, life commitments and independent study.
We aim to make timetables available to students at least 2 weeks before the start of term. Some weeks are different due to how we schedule classes and arrange on-campus sessions.
Teaching and independent learning
Each 20 credit module is delivered over a 5 week block (3 weeks teaching and 2 weeks assessment). Students study one module per 5 week block.
All Hendon students are required to study the following 6 compulsory modules:
- Strategy and Innovation (20 credits)
- Leadership (20 credits)
- Financial and Economic Analysis (20 credits)
- Marketing Management in a Digital Age (20 credits)
- Cross-Cultural Management and Ethics (20 credits)
- Global Operations Management (20 credits)
All students must also complete the 60-credit Capstone Project.
Hendon Campus students will also complete the non-credit-bearing experiential Mentorship for Leadership Excellence in Business module.

Learning terms
On-campus: This includes tutor-led sessions such as seminars, lab sessions and demonstrations as well as student-led sessions for work in small groups.
Online learning: This is teaching that is delivered online using tools like Skype or Zoom, as well as work that you do yourself using online teaching resources.
Independent study: This is the work you do in your own time including reading and research.
Our excellent teaching and support teams will help you develop your skills from research and practical skills to critical thinking. Our Sheppard Library is open 24 hours a day during term time. And we offer free 24-hour laptop loans with full desktop software, free printing and Wi-Fi to use on or off campus.
There are no exams but your coursework will be assessed including essays, book reviews, student seminar presentations, a research proposal and a dissertation.
We will test not only theory and its application to your practice but also the depth of your understanding.
To gain your Executive MBA you will need to take a final project on a topic of your choosing. This project could be anything from documenting your work with a host organisation to developing a business plan.
To help you achieve the best results, we will provide regular feedback.
You'll evaluate your work, skills and knowledge and identify areas for improvement. Sometimes you'll work in groups and assess each other's progress.

For this course, ideally, we are looking for these qualifications:
A 2.2 honours degree or above and two or more years of relevant business experience or graduate-level professional qualifications. If you do not possess either an honours degree or professional qualifications, you are welcome to apply, but we normally require a GMAT score of at least 550 points.
You are welcome to apply even if you do not have prior work experience as all intakes for this Executive MBA are non-experience.

You'll need good English language skills to study with us. That's usually an IELTS 6.0 qualification (with a grade of 6.0 for Reading and Writing components/Listening and Speaking components at 5.5). And, if you need help, we offer an intensive pre-sessional English course.
