Sponsored and self-funded places

Middlesex University’s Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare CPD provision is listed on the National Workforce Development / CPD (Non-Apprenticeships) Framework. The University has contractual arrangements with NHS Trusts across London to provide CPD in the form of study days, stand-alone modules and longer programmes.

Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Funding

Each Trust notifies the University about which members of staff they are funding to study with us. If you are interested in studying at Middlesex, in the first instance contact your Trust education commissioning manager to check on the availability of funded places. They will be the ones who will decide whether they are able to commission a place on a specific study day, module or programme for you. Without a named, commissioned place, you will need to pay the fees yourself.

Other organisation sponsorship

If your place on a CPD module/programme is being paid for by another funding body e.g. a charity, or if your Trust does not have a contractual arrangement with the University, you must provide an official letter from your sponsoring organisation (on official paper) confirming their agreement to pay your fees AND you must clearly state this information in the section provided on your application form.

Fees for self-funding or employer sponsored students

If you are self-funding the CPD tuition fee is £65 per credit. This includes students who are enrolled on individual stand-alone CPD modules and those undertaking longer programmes of study e.g. BSc, Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or MSc.

Please note that for part-time MSc students, the 60-credit work-based project module tuition fee is £32 per credit.

Fees for some Social Work CPD modules/programmes may differ.
