Teaching
You’ll learn through key concept videos and other curated online material via the My Learning facility and on-campus large group sessions, seminars, workshops and computer lab-based sessions. You'll utilise interactive practice-based activities to stimulate exchange of ideas and development of critical thinking skills. Activities such as Q&A sessions, polls, quizzes, games, simulations, use of software, role plays, guest speakers and case studies are used to develop in-depth and practice-based knowledge and understanding. And there will be guided reading of textbooks, academic journals, case studies and company and industry documents. Most teaching groups have about 35 students. Your work will be divided into credits of approximately 10 hours of study time and you will need to complete 120 credits per year, by taking modules of typically 30 credits.
You will be studying at our north London campus in Hendon.
During your first year, your weekly timetable will typically consist of:
- 4 to 5 hours of large group sessions
- 6 hours of seminars/labs/workshops
- Access to weekly one-to-one meetings with your module tutors as required
- Access to one-to-one meetings with your academic advisor
- Access to support from student learning assistants.
Outside of teaching hours, you’ll learn independently through self-study which will involve reading articles and books, working on projects, undertaking research, and preparing for assessments including coursework, presentations and exams.
