Educational and Developmental Psychology Research Group

Cres, with trees and silhouettes of children and text: EDP Grow

Our logo embodies the essence of what we stand for through the acronym GROW:

G – Guiding children and adolescents through developmental stages

R – Researching educational strategies and optimal learning outcomes

O – Observing and analysing social, cognitive, and emotional development from infancy through adulthood

W – Working towards advancing knowledge on developmental milestones

Each letter of GROW represents our commitment to fostering growth and understanding across the lifespan. Explore how our diverse research drives progress and enriches lives.

Our research group delves into Developmental Psychology, exploring how and why individuals evolve over time from infancy through to aging. We are passionate about understanding human growth across the lifespan and use innovative methodologies and research designs to investigate a broad spectrum of developmental topics.

In addition, we are actively involved in Educational Psychology, examining how developmental processes impact learning and educational outcomes. Our research integrates insights from both developmental and educational psychology to enhance our understanding of effective teaching strategies and learning environments.

We are eager to welcome Research Assistants, MSc, and PhD students to join our team. If you’re interested in contributing to our dynamic research, please reach out to Gemma Reynolds.
