Students' Union
MDXSU will make sure your voice is heard on the issues you care about. We also offer loads of chances for you to meet new people, develop your skills and try new things.
MDXSU events
We organise hundreds of events of all kinds on campus throughout the year. From parties and gigs, comedy and clubbing to parliamentary style debates, workshops, exhibitions and career fairs. Our Students' Union makes sure that you'll never be bored.
"MDXSU is constantly throwing parties and events, so there's plenty to do after dark. It might be a collaboration with a society - which is an opportunity to see if you'd like to join it!" Matthew, Graphic Design BA
Campaigns led by students
Your Students' Union is there to make your voice heard and support students to make things happen. MDXSU reps want you to bring ideas, voice your views, and take the lead on issues that matter to you from more vegan food in the canteen to better support for homeless people in the local area.
Past campaign successes include getting microwaves for students to use, a free bike hire scheme on campus and lobbying the local council to resettle 50 Syrian refugees in our borough.
"There’s a lot of different things to get involved with at the Students' Union, from societies to campaigns, student jobs to leadership roles, pretty much something for everyone!"
Natasha, BSc Psychology
Advice and support
We want every Middlesex student to have the best experience possible. But we understand that issues might come up – with your studies, where you're living or how you're feeling. The Students' Union offers free, confidential and independent advice and support for student facing academic issues as well as other challenges.
Your representatives
Your Middlesex University Student Voice, MDXSU representatives are here to find out what you think and make sure your views are heard. They are all students, and are elected to their roles through student-only votes. They work with staff across the University and Students' Union to create changes that students want to see – on campus and beyond.
Your reps include a President and three Vice Presidents who work full-time for you and represent all Middlesex students on campus, locally and nationally. There are also six School Voice Leaders and a Student Voice Leader on each year of every course.
MDXSU media
Our student-run media includes an award-winning student magazine, a blossoming TV station and the ever-popular radio station POW! FM. There's also a new online hub featuring two blogs: POW! News and POW! Showcase.
