Get a head start at Middlesex University: To help ensure uni is affordable, we’re stepping up and doing everything we can to support our new students.

That’s why we’ve launched the MDX Student/Clearing Starter Kits and MDX Excellence Scholarship, available for students starting Middlesex University in 2024.

MDX Student Starter Kit

At Middlesex, we don’t think the cost of living should stop you from achieving your goals.

Our MDX Student Starter Kit gives you the tools you need to kick-start your studies, and hopefully worry less about your budget.

Closing date: Applications are now closed for the Student Starter Kit. Please review the other awards open to applications.  

Students who have already completed applications will receive decisions in October. Please remember that participation in the Ready For Anything welcome programme is one of the requirements for eligibility.  

 

Each kit contains up to £1,000 worth of goodies, including:

  • A new iPad or laptop
  • Cash to help with your studies

Plus – if you apply for a kit, you’ll also get access to exclusive experiences and rewards in the run up to starting at Middlesex.

There are a limited number of kits available, so we’re looking for students to share how this support will help them succeed at Middlesex.

To be eligible for a kit, you’ll need to:

  • Apply for Middlesex to start in Autumn 2024 (this must be your first undergraduate degree)
  • Meet the full criteria and adhere to our terms and conditions on the registration form
  • Actively participate in our Ready For Anything welcome programme, which takes place from July to September 

If you’ve applied to Middlesex University by Wednesday 25 January 2024 and registered your interest in the kit, you’ll be exclusively eligible for the first allocation of MDX Student Support Kits to be awarded.

Clearing Starter Kit

New for 2024, our Clearing Starter Kit offers a smaller allocation of our popular Student Starter Kit to students applying through Clearing.

The Clearing Starter Kit gives you the tools you need to kick-start your studies, and hopefully worry less about your budget.

Package including tech and a grant worth up to £1,000 

To be eligible for a kit, you’ll need to:

  • Apply for Middlesex to start in Autumn 2024 (this must be your first undergraduate degree) 
  • Be a UK undergraduate student and eligible to pay home fees 
  • Meet the full criteria and adhere to our terms and conditions on the registration form 
  • Take part in the Ready For Anything programme from July to September 

The MDX Excellence Scholarship

The MDX Excellence Scholarship is awarded to UK students who demonstrate outstanding academic potential.

The scholarship offers:

  • £2,000 in cash grants per academic year (maximum of £6,000 total)
  • Exclusive scholar experiences and support

At Middlesex, we want you to achieve your full potential. Our scholarship aims to give you the right opportunities and financial support you need to succeed, no matter what your goals are.

This scholarship is for new Middlesex University students who will be starting their studies in September 2024 in any subject. As a scholar, you’ll be expected to achieve high grades at school or college, such as:

  • A-levels: BBC or above
  • BTEC Level 3: DMM or above
  • T Levels: Merit or above

If you are a UK applicant, and you meet the above grade requirements and our full criteria on the registration form, you are eligible to apply.

We are looking for future scholars who can showcase not only their academic talents, but also their potential to make a positive impact within their field.

As a scholar, you will strive for excellence in your studies with us and have a keen interest in expanding your personal and professional experiences.

Students are welcome to apply for both the Student Starter Kit and the Excellence Scholarship. Please be aware that students successful for the Excellence Scholarship will not be eligible to receive the Student Starter Kit.
